My experience at Turquhouse Hotel was mixed. The stunning views of the Golden Horn from the terrace were a highlight, and I truly enjoyed the traditional Turkish breakfast. However, the room was on the smaller side, and communication with the staff was occasionally challenging due to language barriers. I appreciated the clean environment, but the absence of Wi-Fi in the room and some initial miscommunication regarding transportation options were frustrating.

Rooms
6.0
The room was quite cozy and clean, though somewhat small. The old wooden décor gave it character, but it could benefit from some updates.
Service
5.0
While the staff were friendly and did their best, I often found it difficult to communicate my needs effectively due to the language barrier. They were helpful with local information, though.
Location
7.0
The hotel is situated beautifully at the top of Pierre Loti Hill, providing amazing views of the city. However, it's a bit far from main attractions, but taxi and cable car access made it manageable.
Dining
8.0
The breakfast spread was impressive with a variety of Turkish dishes that I enjoyed greatly. The setting was lovely, too, overlooking the panoramic views.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities were decent, though I was disappointed by the lack of free Wi-Fi in the rooms. Maintenance was prompt when I had a shower leak, which I appreciated.

I had a lovely time at the Turquhouse Hotel, thanks to the awe-inspiring views of Istanbul and a stellar breakfast spread each morning. However, the restaurant experience was a letdown, and I had some issues finding my belongings after the cleaners tidied up. Overall, it's a charming spot with a lot to offer, but it's not without its quirks.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were clean and neat, although a bit on the small side. I appreciated the overall cleanliness, but I did have to be cautious about my belongings due to some mix-ups.
Service
6.0
The staff were generally friendly and helpful, but communication barriers made some interactions frustrating, especially when I had a complaint that went unaddressed.
Location
7.0
Perched on a hill, the location offered stunning views, especially of the Golden Horn. Getting into the city involved some planning, though, whether taking a cab or using the nearby cable car.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was a highlight, featuring delicious traditional options, but I had a disappointing experience at dinner, where many menu items were unavailable and food arrived cold.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had a nice array of facilities, including a café and a hammam, but I was surprised by some restrictions, like not having a kettle in the room.

My stay at the Turquhouse Hotel was a pleasant experience, highlighted by the amazing views of the Golden Horn. The staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home, although I encountered some communication hurdles. While the breakfast spread was varied and delicious, I faced challenges with the airport transfer service that could improve overall guest satisfaction.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were small but clean and well-maintained, offering a cozy atmosphere despite their size.
Service

Staff were generally helpful and friendly, but I encountered some issues with communication regarding taxi options and maintenance requests.
Location

Situated on a hill, the hotel offered stunning views, though it required some navigating to reach the main city areas.
Dining
8.0
The breakfast variety was impressive, reflecting local culture, although the dining experience could be improved by clarifying menu options.

The hotel's features, such as the outdoor spaces and Nargilevi bar, added to the authentic Turkish ambiance, making it a charming stay.

My stay at Turquhouse Hotel was good in many ways. I loved the amazing views of Istanbul, especially from the restaurant during breakfast. However, I faced issues with the restaurant's dinner service and had some belongings misplaced during my stay, which put a damper on my experience.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms are clean and well-presented, though they might feel a bit small for some. I appreciated the old wooden style and the comfortable beds made for a cozy stay, but I did find it frustrating that no kettles are allowed in the rooms.
Service
6.0
Overall, I found the staff to be friendly and attentive, addressing my shower issue promptly. However, during my dining experience, the service wasn't as great, especially when dealing with the issues surrounding the cold food and billing.
Location
8.0
The hotel is perched on a hill, which provides wonderful views, but it also means that access to the city involves either a cable car or a cab ride through traffic. Despite this, I enjoyed the local atmosphere and the peaceful environment away from the tourist hubs.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was nothing short of amazing, particularly with the option of freshly made menemen on weekends. However, my dinner experience was disappointing due to a limited menu and cold mains, which overshadowed the otherwise good Turkish cuisine.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel's amenities, such as the beautiful garden and hamam, added a charming touch to my stay. I did miss having Wi-Fi in the rooms, which would have been more convenient.

My four-day stay at Turquhouse Hotel was like a home away from home. The amazing views from the hotel were stunning, especially from the Aziyade Restaurant during breakfast. The staff were warm and welcoming, always ready to assist, although some language barriers made it challenging at times. The location, while not central, allowed for easy access to taxis and a nearby cable car down to the city, which I discovered a bit late in my stay. Despite some minor hiccups, I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were small yet impeccably clean, providing a comfortable space to unwind after a day of exploring. I appreciated the overall maintenance, though the size could be a downside for some.
Service
6.0
Staff were friendly and attentive, creating a warm atmosphere. However, communication could be difficult due to limited English proficiency, which sometimes led to misunderstandings.
Location
6.0
Situated on a hill, the hotel offers stunning views, but getting to the main attractions without a taxi can be problematic. The nearby cable car is a great option that I only found out about later.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast spread was excellent, featuring traditional Turkish dishes, with a chef for menemen on weekends. However, my dining experience at night was disappointing due to slow service and cold food.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel has a charming ambiance with additional facilities like a Nargilevi bar for a cultural touch. However, I found the absence of Wi-Fi in the rooms a bit inconvenient.
